The Evolution of Head Protection – Hard Hats VS Helmets – It's more than just an apple falling on your head that you need to worry about!  We will discuss the various Head Protection Standards regarding testing and use of head protection for your workers – what do these standards mean for manufacturers and the users respectively.   We will also discuss the implications of the different types of head protection to the overall bottom line. What does the future look like?

Panelists:

Seth Randall is the Regional Safety Director for Clark Construction with 18 years of experience overseeing their Infrastructure Group. Graduate of Slippery Rock University in Environmental Health and Safety Management.  CEO of the Board of Directors for Chesapeake Regional Safety Council in Baltimore, MD, and is the Vice Chairman of the Safety Committee for the Association of General Contractors. He holds his CHST and CSP through the Board of Certified Safety Professionals.

 

 

George Stallings is a recognized subject matter expert in Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), areas of expertise include Fall Protection/Confined Space, Head Protection, and Traffic Safety Products. Additionally, George is recognized as a Fall Protection expert in having completed Competent Person Training with many leading manufacturers including FallTech.   Presently George trains users to be Competent in Personal Fall Arrest Systems, Engineered Fall Protection Systems, and Confined Space.   George speaks on these subjects both Nationally and Regionally, of note including Mechanical Contractors Association of America’s Annual Safety Conference, and the ASSE Regional PDC in Myrtle Beach SC.   Partner of Sales Solutions Inc., with over 27 years’ experience in selling and servicing the Commercial Construction Industry and the Industrial Safety market.  Geroge serves as a board member of the MACSC, which puts on an annual Construction Safety Conference; this is in addition to being the Past President of MACSA (Washington Metropolitan Area Construction Safety Association), and is currently Past President of the Virginia Chapter of ATSSA (American Traffic Safety Services Association), and Past Vice President of the NOVA Chapter of the American Society of Safety Professionals.
